LEADS stands for Leadership, Education and Development Scholarship. A foundation focused on every instrument of youth development and empowerment, so young people grow up thinking critically and offering real solutions to global problems.

Vision

To raise young Indonesians with a clear sense of who they are: able to think a problem through, argue about it constructively, and then do something about it.

Mission

Scholarship
Giving scholarships to catalyse critical, constructive and solution-oriented thinking among young people.
Knowledge
Sharing what we learn about leadership, education and community development, in plain language, open to anyone.
Youth agency
Giving young people the tools, the training and the openings they need to take a real part in running the country.

The four pillars we work on

These four pillars are the themes: what the work is about. The three arms of Leads are the structure: who delivers it. Foundation programmes sit in one arm; CSR programmes are delivered with corporate partners. Both serve the same pillars.

Education
Bringing classrooms to the hardest-to-reach children: the Tapak Asa inspiration classes in Ciamis, Ngajar tor Ngabdi on Masalembu Island, and SBB Berbagi in orphanages. Leads Scholarship funds those who continue their schooling.

Leadership
Public-speaking classes, the SkillBloom bootcamp and facilitator training at Leads Academy. The International Youth Leaders Summit has taken five delegate batches to Türkiye, South Korea and Malaysia; Cikgu Indonesia prepares the young teachers behind them.

Community development
Cakrawala Muda Nusantara sends volunteers to Masalembu Island, Gili Raja and Batu Bulan in Lampung. That is 1,675 beneficiaries so far. The Digital Woman Class trains women in Sumenep to use digital tools for home businesses.

Energy & environment
The Sukajadi Asri BSF maggot house in Bogor processes the village's organic waste and has been measured returning 2.19 times the social value of every rupiah. Eco Rangers trains young environmental cadres in Sumenep, and Bestari works on sustainability with communities.
