Case study · Sukajadi village, Bogor

One village’s kitchen waste, now feed and fertiliser.

Over about twelve weeks, with the Kampung Ramah Lingkungan community and the Sukajadi village tourism group, we did three things, then handed the work over.

  1. Built a Black Soldier Fly maggot installation that breaks household organic waste down into animal feed and frass fertiliser.

  2. Formed an independent management group from the villagers themselves.

  3. Strengthened their farming and business capacity, so it runs without us.

SROI · Sukajadi Asri

What PT Raharja Energi Cepu Tbk invested
IDR 36.9 million
Social value returned, five-year horizon
IDR 80.8 million

Every rupiah comes back as

2.19: 1

Social payback
1.2 years
Outcomes counted
4
Net social value
IDR 43.9 million

And if our figures were too generous? Cut every proxy value by 20%. The ratio is still 1.87 : 1.
